More Happy Than Not

Well, I’ve been challenged by one of my WordPress buddies Randstein, to write about the subject, “more happy than not.”  Randstein is always more happy than not!  I even wrote a blog post about him in recent days, because I feel that he is one of those writers on WordPress that you just don’t want to miss out on!  Seriously!!!  If you haven’t already… go read his stuff!  It’s too good to pass up!  🙂  You can find him here at Hyperion Sturm/The Titan’s Lament.

Here are the official rules for this challenge:

(1) Answer the question “What makes you more happy than not?” Any form will do… poem, song, pictograph, short story, you name it!
(2) Link back to the person who tagged you.
(3) Have FUN. You can add your links as well!
(4) You can also go to Shelumiels website (the originator of this challenge) and sign up on his web link, to link back to your tag, if you choose to accept this challenge.

I would like to challenge Tonya – fourth generation farmgirl, because she is always so upbeat and happy!  And for that, I know that she will be up for this challenge!  Please check out her blog as well.  She is an excellent writer and has a love for her home in Virginia, which has been a part of her family for over 100 years.  She loves to share her experiences on the farm and her pictures are breathtaking!

Here’s what I came up with!

More Happy Than Not

More happy than not
Is a wonderful thought
It’s very plain to see
People that are more happy than not
Are a welcome lot
And make me want to shout with glee
More happy than not
To some is a very strange thought
They just don’t know how to be
Some need to be taught
Most can’t be bought
For me it’s simple and free
More happy than not
It’s just what I’ve got
No more to be said for thee
Cause more happy than not
Is what I’ve always sought
And for that I’m happy being me!

  1. Cute tribute to happiness, Michelle. And thanks for the tip on another worthwhile blog/ger. (I’d make a smiley face here, but I don’t know how to do that yet). Have a happy day:)

  6. Thanks! I had no idea what I was going to do for this challenge and then I read the other one’s that were done and decided on a poem. There is a pattern to the poem, which I often like to challenge myself with. I am glad that you made some new friends! I think you were at 90 friends when we first met on WP. How many do you have now? That’s always exciting news!

  8. That’s great! That’s 57 more than you had a month ago! I knew people would start to appreciate your writing, they just had to find you first! Just takes time for people to find great writing like yours. And when they do, It’s like finding a needle in a haystack and then people start to get excited and share what they’ve found. 🙂

  10. I agree! I hardly get a chance to sit down and read my books anymore, I am so busy reading everyone’s blog posts and stories on WP! 🙂

  11. That’s me. I’m so behind too! I actually feel bad if I don’t keep caught up with everybody.

  12. Well, I have almost 300 people that I follow and I do my best to read everyone’s stuff. Unfortunately, there is only one of me, so I just don’t get a chance to read everything like I want to. I have my favorite bloggers that I receive email posts from and I at least go through and read those. Everyone else ends up being the luck of the draw when I go down through the reader. 🙂
