This is so very true and something that many people cannot understand.
Just pondering the nature of sacrifice on this Memorial Day, those who gave all protecting our freedom, the love to be found there and the reflective nature of those relationships and how they trickle down.
Christ paid the ultimate price for our sins, Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Amen. A non believer recently said, “you wallow in guilt over that.” Well, yes and no, there are some times of conviction where you regret the sacrifice that had to be made, where you become keenly aware of the price that was paid on your behalf. It’s not a comfortable place to be in, conviction, regret, horror, guilt, shame. Scratch the surface of those unpleasant emotions however and you meet the fruits, gratitude, a keen awareness of how loved you are, the realization that you came with a price.
