High Flying Stats

statsMy stats were increased today by about a million percent.  Looks as if StumbleUpon picked up on my most recent quote.  Makes my other days look pathetic, doesn’t it?  Oh, well… at least I have one day in the spotlight.  😉

So here’s my new quote for today;

“Popularity is short-lived, so be happy with who you are today and remember that acceptance is overrated!” ~M

    1. Thanks! They are still booming. Yesterday views were over 3,000. It’s really a shame though, even with all the views; I have had no extra comments, likes, or followers. Oh well! This is a good example of life today.

      1. Are the viewers spam? Sometimes this happens on my blog and when I go into the administration of comments – my spam is loaded. You might want to check into it.

      1. It’s another of those social networking sites where you can submit your content. However, they have far stricter rules on submitting contents than other sites. However, if you managed to make your content appear there, then you will definitely receive quite a lot of traffic.

        1. I just looked at Reddit and honestly, I can’t figure out what you can submit. So many rules, it seems impossible to post anything at all. Also, the graphics look like are from the 90’s. Oh well… at least there are plenty of other social networking sites!

          1. Yes, Reddit is quite challenging to understand. If I was not its member for a while now before I started blogging, then I don’t think that I would have understood it 🙂

            1. Seems like a foreign language to me. I don’t know how I would ever begin to understand all the stuff on there. I would need a lot of free time to figure it out. Of course, I didn’t even know what the word “blog” meant, seven months ago. So things can change quickly if you set your mind on learning something new. 🙂

            2. I have been a member of Reddit long before I started blogging so I was quite familiar with their terminologies and which “subreddit” I can post my contents to.

              I understand what you mean. I’ve only been blogging for 5 months so there are still so much for me to learn. At first, I thought that I only have to learn about how to use WordPress, but now I realized that I have to learn to utilize Twitter, FB, StumbleUpon and other social networking sites as well as promotional tools…

  1. I opened a StumbleUpon account and couldn’t figure out what to do with it. I guess I’m going to have to study it first 🙂 Congrats on the hit. I’ve noticed a well timed inspirational quote really resonates with people and you proved it. 🙂

    1. I know what you mean about StumbleUpon. I started mine years ago and just recently got back on due to another blogger suggesting it. If you want to, email me and I will give you step by step directions on how to post some of your stuff on there. It’s actually fairly easy. The thing is though, you can only post 10 links a day to your site. So you need to pick the pages that you really want to share first, and then post the others on another day.

    1. Awww… don’t feel bad! I think it’s absolutely hilarious myself. I mean… I put my heart and soul into writing stories that are thousands of words long, and they get hardly any notice. Then I write an eleven word quote, and people go crazy over it. Go figure! Lol! 🙂

        1. Basically, StumbleUpon is a site that allows you to visit other websites in random order, by pressing the “stumble” button. If a post becomes popular, than it will show up more often when people are “stumbling” and so then the post will of course get more hits. Just go to stumbleupon.com to try it. It’s fun, and they have an App for cell phones too.
