Christmastime

christmas-scene-011

Christmastime
It’s that time of year
When Christmas is near
Children are fully delighted
Hardly sleeping they are so excited
The snow is satiny white and glistening
People scurry by, happy and merrily whistling
There’s magic in the air, not a soul with a single care
Because it’s that time of year, when Christmas is near
There still may be trials, there may even be some tears
But as Christmas gets closer, there’s mostly glad cheer
For when Christmas comes, the meaning is quite clear
It’s when we can release all of our sorrows and fears
Assured in knowing that our Savior will soon be here
Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

  1. Lovely poem. The shape could almost be a Christmas tree or ornament 🙂

  4. Thanks Dorinda… it all depends on what you are viewing it from. On a computer it resembles an ornament… on a cell phone it looks a little bit like a tree… 😉

  5. I was looking on my PC, and I saw a tree, but now that you’ve said ornament, I see that, too. So it’s a tree ornament 🙂

  10. Thank you… The spirit of Christmas seems to have vanished these days… I wanted to remind everyone of how it used to be and how it can be again… 🙂
