Mending Relationships

Sometimes all we can do is wait
Only time will reveal our fate
Some are in a shattered state
In which many seem to relate
Life is really too short to hate
Though in love some hesitate
Soon they’ve lost their mate
These feelings surely resonate
So grab hold before it’s too late
Never let yourself debate
The future is yours to orchestrate
Don’t let negative thoughts penetrate
Think of the all the fun you can create
A simple loving smile they will reciprocate
A wink of the eye can captivate
A tender touch can alleviate
Be the one to generate
All you have to do is demonstrate
Let go of anger and commiserate
It’s the easiest way at any rate
Since everyone tries to equivocate
Show some unselfish restraint
And let love be your floodgate
