    1. Awww… Dustin! I’m so glad to hear this! This is the reason why I felt like starting this blog from the beginning. I felt like God was speaking to me in so many ways and I knew I just had to share what he was telling me. This is why I’m still here doing this… On days when I want to throw in the towel, God tells me to keep going. His message can shine through anybody. Even our trials and tribulations can be used for God’s glory. Hope your week has been going good. Take care my friend! 🙂

      1. God has truly blessed you and yours, and given you a beautiful gift, meant to give Him all the glory. That is exactly what I want to accomplish with my writing, but that’s impossible if I’m not writing, isn’t it?:)

One of my favorite quotes of all time occurs to me frequently, and it’s certainly applicable here: “Be the change you want to see in the world.”

Although I didn’t start blogging under the same circumstances as you, I did so in the hopes of inspiring others to read; that they may be led to great books through my reviews..you know?

Have a wonderful weekend and God bless you and yours!

        1. I would love to see you writing more and you could bring such a wonderful message to the world thorough the words God gives to you. It’s just taking the time to write everyday and getting into the habit of doing that. Even if it’s just a few lines of poetry or a quote, just keep writing and make yourself a schedule and stick with it! I know life can interrupt our good intentions and so often we really have no choice. But if you do have the opportunity, take advantage of the time God has given to you to reach others for his glory. You will be so blessed because of it, like I have. Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for your encouraging words. They mean so much!

          1. Thank YOU! It’s kind of funny because I’ve telling myself for years (literally) that I just need to sit down and make writing a priority, and in the past I have done so but I have a hard time sticking with anything. It isn’t even an issue of time; quite the opposite, actually. I am squandering the time God gives me, every day. And I’m ashamed.

I want you to read more of my writing, Michelle. Have a blessed weekend!

            Thank you, again!

            1. Thank you! Reading your words truly warms my heart. You will read more of my writing, I promise. I won’t ever give up. No matter what the world and/or the enemy throws at me, I’ll bounce back and attack with more passion and determination than before. I’ll let it shine, indeed!
And actually, I’m thinking of submitting something for a horror/comedy anthology. One thousand words minimum, five thousand maximum. I need to look more into it, but it is definitely something I’m considering. What do you think, should I go for it? Deadline is May 1st. If you’re interested, I’d love to share the link.

            2. I love your determination and I’m glad that you aren’t giving up. So many people do and they don’t use the talents that God has given them. You should go for it! And yes share the link!

It certainly isn’t easy, and most days are a struggle, but I refuse to give up. I can’t. The stories hidden within me are plentiful and rich, and they beg me ever day to release them; the only way to do that is to write them. Also, I have an endless number of books that I long to read, and the two are certainly connected. If there’s one thing I don’t want to do, it’s to squander the time and gifts that God has freely given, you know? That is a big part of what’s driving me these days. I don’t want to go to heaven and feel utterly shame and regret when He asks me what I did with my life. I’ve wasted enough as it is.

Thank you!! Your faith in me means a LOT to me, truly!! I will share it soon.

            4. I can completely relate… It takes a shift in your heart and mind to be fully dedicated. It’s almost like you finally have to hold yourself accountable and I’m holding myself accountable to God right now. I’ve done and said some pretty stupid things over this past year and I’m not very happy with myself because of it. So now, it’s time for me to be the person God wants me to be. I’m not answering to anybody any more unless it’s God. There’s freedom in that… you know?

            5. Here’s the link: http://readwritemuse.com/anthology-submissions/

I hope there’s something there to inspire you, and that you may write and submit an amazing story. My mind’s still churning..

It really does take a conscious decision to change one’s mindset and to pursue those things important to the individual. Yes, I completely understand holding yourself accountable to God. That’s something I struggle with. I am very happy for you!

            6. The possibilities of what you could do with it are surely endless.:) I’m still giving it some thought, but I’ll let you know. Please keep me posted, as well. By the way, there’s also a Read Write Muse blog, which I think you’d enjoy and learn a lot from. I believe the web address is http://www.readwritemuse.com

If that doesn’t work, let me know and I’ll figure it out.
