Old…

a

Exhausted is the way I constantly feel

Fed up and tired of always feeling ill

Annoyed by this continuous run-down state

Days such as these I really do hate

Can’t do much if you’re plain worn out

And all I want to do is sit here and pout

Why can’t my body just simply comply?

Instead I sit here all day and sigh

Trying to be a good sport about it all

But honestly I feel like I’ve hit a wall

If this is the beginning of getting old

I’m so excited to see what else will unfold!Β

  2. Can you? You must close to my age then. Or maybe it’s just a Wisconsin thing…. Lol

  5. That picture is priceless lol. Think of it as growing wiser, not older. As for the body, I’m still waiting for the transplant from the neck down lol πŸ˜ƒ

  9. Yes, in some ways…. but I rather like my body. I don’t know that I would change much on the outer. The inner part… well that’s a whole different story! Lol…

  10. Oh good point! Perhaps it’s not the outer part at all!

  12. Well I had to at least try to make it a little bit funny. If I can’t laugh at myself than what else can I do? Lol…. πŸ˜‰

  14. Thank you… My daughters tell me that my poems always reveal so much about me, that anybody could get to know me just by reading them. I suppose I’m an open book. I don’t know how to be any other way. πŸ™‚

  15. Well, when we pour our emotion in words, the best gets shared with the rest! And when we share our best, we ought to get admired by the rest! God Bless…

Love the new avatar! Old happens to the best of us. You don’t look too old in the new avi though. May greatness supplement oldness, and may there be peace in the soul.

There will come a day… When I hear it is time it will be. For now, I’m pleasantly comfortable out of the limelight. Something is telling me this won’t last forever though. πŸ™‚

  31. I am all right. My heart is heavy though, as one of the former Voice singers was killed last night, while signing autographs and meeting with her friends. Have you heard about this? Her name was Christina Grimme. She was only twenty-two. Please be praying for her and her family, and her fans around the world. ((((Hugs)))) Do you watch The Voice?

I’m glad you’re okay. You’re welcome!:) The photo turned our great! Autumn looks just like you!

  32. Yeah… Heard about that. Not good… my oldest daughters age. πŸ™ And thanks… Auti wanted to show off her new glasses.

  33. You call her Auti? That’s cute.:)

It’s horrible, and she had many years ahead of her, too. Tragic, really. I did not know her (obviously,) I don’t even think we saw the season with her on it, and it feels almost like losing a friend. Almost. My heart is heavy.

  34. Yeah we call her Auti… Thanks! And yes this is certainly a tragedy. πŸ™

  35. Forty four you are in your prime
Leave being old to forty nine
Days of tiredness happen it’s true
But tomorrow maybe you will feel twenty two
Now sixty is the new forty …way to go
Adventures to unravel , good luck and enjoy the show.
