Always Missing You

Tears erupt

As we kiss goodbye

I watch you leave

With a heavy sigh

All this time

Spent apart

Leaves me with

An aching heart

Pondering why life

Has to be this way

I miss you so much

When you’re away

Yearning for the future

To see you more

Just have to wait

For what’s in store

  4. Thanks D. Had to change my poem a little bit after finding the picture. Sometimes I kick myself for not finding the picture before writing the poem! Picture prompts can be really useful!

  6. May words heal your pain,
Let no emotion be left high and dry,
    Let there be rain! 🙂

  9. Hubby’s just been working non-stop lately. These military exercises are killing him. His schedule is 16 days straight with mostly 12 hour shifts. Never see him anymore! 🙁

  15. Depends on how long they’ll let him stay in. He could retire sooner if he wants to.
