Mere flickers of truth

Mere flickers of truth
Bare their empty souls
While lies and deceit
Seep through the holes

Honesty wavers gently
Hovering over your head
While you continue
Your deception instead

Falsehoods beckon
To tell their tales
Yet you entrust nothing
Thus friendship fails

And the cold bitter truth
Cannot set you free
Because you hide your woes
Where nobody can see
