Tired of…

cat-98360_960_720

Tired of rejection

Tired of pain

Tired of the news

Which could cause a person

To go insane

Tired of boring

Tired of bland

Tired of happiness

Which only escapes

Right through my hand

Tired of here

Tired of there

Tired of feeling

When It’s obviously easier

Not to care

Tired of sadness

Tired of this life

Tired of all the things

Which continuously

Bring me strife

Tired of the past

Tired of today

Tired of life’s lessons

Which only make me

Want to run away

Tired of being tired

Tired of the emotions it brings

Tired of warped perceptions

And a slew

Of other things

Tired of misunderstandings

Tired of hopelessness and fear

Tired of opinions

And a world

Which is so unclear

Tired of this poem

Tired of spilling my soul

Tired of wanting all the things

I’m convinced

Would make me whole

Tired of feeling sorry

Tired of ruining your day

Tired of leaving you sitting here

With this mess of words

I simply felt I had to say

I remember the day I wrote this.  Just as soon as I had finished writing this poem, I suddenly wasn’t tired anymore.  It was like a huge wave of relief washed over me.  After writing down these miserable thoughts, I was able to release them from my heart.  I don’t know what I’d ever do without the gift God gave me, of being able to express myself through writing.  It has allowed me to continue on with life, even during the times when I just sort of feel like giving up.  So today, I thank God, for blessing me with the ability to be able to sort things out for myself and move past the things which hold me back.  ~M

  1. I gotta admit there are short time that I feel that exact same way. But God has a reason for everything that He allows us to go thru and we don’t go thru them alone. He is always with us. I enjoy reading what you write.
