A true cord of love

book-1760993_960_720

The filaments of affection

Are often broken

Tossed to the side

Like an old forgotten token

Sometimes a thread of devotion

Just cannot stay

It’s the truth I’m afraid

Though it’s sad to say

And some strands are merely

Carried away on the breeze

Eventually settling in

Somewhere amongst the trees

Yet a true cord of love

Is hardly ever lost

For losing one of these

Comes with an insurmountable cost

  3. I believe we have that true cord of love. I know without you I would be lost.
