Do you have a favorite book?  If so, tell me what it is and why it’s your favorite.

One of my favorite books is, God’s Smuggler by, Brother Andrew.  I love this book because it shows how anyone, even the least likely person, can be used by God to do amazing and extraordinary things.   Read it for yourself if you don’t believe me.  😉

    1. There are too many to name. I chose the first one that came to my mind. I haven’t heard of the 2 you have here. So many great books and not enough time to read them all!

  4. Mine would be “Band of Brothers: E Company 506th Regiment 101st Airborne” by Stephen Ambrose. I Love my history books and also liked “1776” by David McCullough. Amazing books about what people can endure in times of trials and how much different history could have been.

  5. Charlotte’s Web, by E.B. White. It has made the most profound difference in the lives of the preschoolers to whom I read-aloud this book. They develop heart, and their little brains are filled with language to help them succeed academically.

  7. Oh how I miss my book worm days! Sounds like a book I’d enjoy. All I have time for regularly is the Bible-I must read and feed on it everyday, and then my WordPress reader – where I pop in to seek encouragement and edification while supporting others writings!
    A favorite book from back in the day? Ohhh so many! But one that taught me a life lesson when I was about 12, the original “Cheaper by the Dozen.” It made me want a big family – but I married a man who didn’t, but it taught me to make every “motion” worthwhile! The beginning of learning to multi-task and not waste time. Weird!

    1. I haven’t read the book, but I sure do love the movie! It’s funny how books can influence us so much. I don’t read much anymore either. Time is always the issue, plus it makes me sleepy. And I read enough blogs…. so I guess that counts. 😉. Lol….

      1. The movie was funny as was the original book. But the real story had more practical life applications. I mean, really, how do you raise 12 children and keep your sanity! Anyway, decided to refresh my memory so here is the reality of the family dynamics and it helped me become an organization freak – now I know why: The parents, “Lillian Moller Gilbreth and Frank Bunker Gilbreth, were early 20th-century pioneers of time and motion study and what would now be called organizational behavior.” One son and daughter decided to write their story which was an instant hit then made into a movie and then remade! I wonder how many other people might have become organizational freaks after reading the book? LOL

        1. Well my great grandmother had 12 and somehow she managed. Lol…. The stories I’ve heard about her are lovely. She not only fed and took care of her own children, but helped the homeless who would come to her door as well. She was said to be a gentle woman, but one who you didn’t dare mess with either! Lol…. I’ve never read the book and I’m an organizational freak by nature. 😉
