An early morning conversation with my 8 year old daughter…

 

Autumn – “Hey mom, guess what!?”

Me – “What?”

Autumn – “I just made fresh eggs for breakfast!”

Me – “Oh?”

Autumn – “Yeah… wanna know how I know the eggs were fresh?”

Me – “Okay, tell me…”

Autumn – “Well, the carton says so!  See… right here.  It says Farm Fresh Eggs!”

Me – “Oh, is that so…”

Autumn – “Yeah, isn’t it great!”

 

I didn’t have the heart to tell her that those eggs had been in the fridge for at least two weeks… After all, the box said they were fresh!  Lol….

  1. Hi, M. I’m doing something different today. Just going around to tell some folks how much I appreciate your likes on occasion. They mean so much to me. Especially from talented people like you! I hope the second blog works out well for you. I guess I can tell which to go to since I will be continuing following this blog. I guess I need to go to the other to mark follow there also. I’ll run over and see. I’m glad you have expanded to make time for more chat and glimpses into the delight of your family. 😀

    1. Thanks Oneta… you’re so sweet. I’m so happy you stopped by. I’m just glad I finally split my blogs up. My new blog will hopefully have book announcements in the coming future. I’m so busy with preparing for the coming school year that I really don’t have much time for anything else at the moment. Grading papers at the moment! Lol… I’m so far behind! So with that said, I’m off to finish… 50 more projects to grade! Have a great day! 😉

    1. And she was just so excited about it! Pure joy written all over her face. Oh to be that happy, and satisfied over something so meaningless to most. I will never look at an egg carton the same way ever again. Lol…
