Quick update…

Hey Everyone,

I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything and so I thought I’d give you all a quick update.  I haven’t been shirking my blogging responsibilities out of choice, just been really busy because I’m back in school now and it’s taking up a lot of my time.

So today, I wanted to share what I’ve been doing in one of my classes.  I decided to take a fun class to begin with, and here’s one of the drawings I recently completed.  It’s been so much fun getting back into sketching, which I really haven’t done much of since high school (which was 30 years ago), but it’s slowly coming back to me.  Anyway, it’s always good to revisit the things we used to enjoy, all in order to see if we still find pleasure in them years later.  I’ll try to share more photos of my work from time to time.

  1. How wonderful to revisit what is obviously a talent you have! I cannot sketch to save my life! Right now my hubby and sons are in the middle of a remodel that is all for me- turning our den into my craft room.

    1. That’s exciting! I ended up taking over my daughter’s bedroom when she moved out and got married. I use my office for everything… writing, drawing, painting, etc. The only thing I don’t have a place in there for is sewing. Think I’d need a bigger room for that. Lol… 😉

  2. Wonderful sketch! Your post is making me want to pursue an interest completely different from my day job. I’m still deciding what that will be, though. Thank you for sharing your work, looking forward to more!

      1. Maybe something in arts, like writing. Or something more related to human/human behavior, like psychology or coaching/training. I am required to use logic a lot in my work, I thought it’d be nice to try my hand at other things. And you’re welcome 😊

        1. I think you’d be good at any of those things. Sometimes a change is just what we need. I hope you’ll look into all of it. I wish I had done this years ago. 🙂

          1. Thank you for the vote of confidence. You’re exactly right, I think I need some change. Like you, I used to kick myself in the bum for not doing something earlier, but maybe it’s because it just wasn’t time. 😊

    1. Thank you… It’s only an 8 week course and this sketch is from last week, which was week 3. I have a love/hate relationship with art. I love doing it, but I also hate the amount of time it takes to work on everything. And I don’t like choosing anything over my writing. 😉
