December Writing Prompt Participants

coffee-3043424_1280 (1)

It’s been another great month, and I was really quite surprised to see just how many of you kept up with the prompts despite the busy holiday season.  My favorite post of the month was, A Mirror Image of Who he Once Was, by Dead Deer.  His post felt so relatable, and was very cleverly written.  I hope all of you will check it out!  Thanks to everyone who participated this month.  Have a very Happy New Year!  ~M xo

  1. Thank you. Thank you for the prompts and for organising them here. And thank you for the special mention. Honestly, two thoughts; firstly thank you. It is such a nice thing for you to do. Secondly, I’m not sure (in fact I know!) mines wasn’t the best, there are so many brilliant writers here – especially the poets, I just don’t know how you all do that. Also I wasn’t sure what I thought of that particular one myself, you know “alliteration; last refuge of the illiterate”!! But that’s what came out that day, and I went with it – very glad I did now, of course.

That’s what I love about these prompts, I never really know what’s going to come out until I sit down, and I’m often surprised (the pig in a boat surprised me, NO IDEA where THAT came from, but he keeps cropping up now….)

Thanks again, M, for all your work and inspiration here …..

    1. You’re so kind Dave, I hardly know what to say… ☺️ Thank you so much for your thoughtful words. Made my day! I picked your poem because it spoke to me in a way that not every poem does. It had special meaning to me because of certain things I’ve faced in my own life, and those are the kinds of poems I love the most. So in my opinion it really was the best. 😉 Thank you for inspiring me to write more. It’s amazing how much more likely I am to write when I see others doing these prompts themselves. Hope you’ll continue to write your heart out. It’s wonderful to see. 🙂

      1. No, thank you. You know what, I didn’t even think of it as a poem! But I suppose it is! Thank you. I need to write with more discipline and with a goal. I’ve always struggled with that. Still do. But thank you
