Tales from the waterhole

Hello everyone,

Today I’m pleased to announce the release of a new favorite children’s book of mine, “Tales from the waterhole, by Michael Coates.  I had the privilege of editing this book for Michael, and I’m so excited to see it in print at last!  There’s nothing quite like seeing someone’s words finally come to life, and I can’t wait to get my copy.  Michael has released his book in four different formats.  I have listed the links below if any of you are interested in buying a copy for yourself.

Have a wonderful week!

Here is the link to the specialized hardcover version on Lulu.

“Today we lost sight of yesterday, as the wonderment of a new day took over.  And tomorrow, we will lose sight of today when we further marvel at what a new day brings.  You see the cycle never ends, if we keep fascination and astonishment alive.”  ~M

So there I was, reading aloud the features that come with the new iPhone X

“The super retina display dazzles the eyes and employs techniques to precisely follow the curves of the design all the way to the elegantly rounded corners.  The first OLED screen that rises to the standards.  Familiar gestures make navigation natural and intuitive. Instead of pressing a button, a single swipe takes you home from anywhere.  A larger and faster 12MP sensor. A new color filter with Deeper pixels, etc…”

And then my sweet and very innocent 16 yr. old daughter, who obviously picked up on the bolded words above, says to me…

“Mom, I feel like I’m listening to Fifty Shades of Phones.”  😉

New website!

I’ve got some exciting news to share with all of you, so hold onto your seats!  Okay, I realize it may not be all that exciting, but it really is to me.  While I was away, I decided it was time to make some changes to my blog.  Many of you may have already noticed, but I decided to take all of my poems off of this site.  When I initially started this blog three years ago, I had never intended to use it to write poetry.  In fact, back then I didn’t write poetry at all.  Because of this, I have never felt like this blog has worked with my new style of writing.  So with much thought, hesitation, and uncertainty, I have finally decided to take the plunge and create a whole new site just for my poems.  I will still be writing here every now and then, but I will mainly be posting on my new website.  If you’d like to follow me over there, here’s the link.

I can’t wait to reconnect with all of you!  Hope you’ve been having a great summer.  ~M xo

Switching Themes

Well… I have decided to take a chance that WordAds may eventually grant me the honor of being able to use ads on my page.  I have to find someway to make a little bit of money, since I am a homeschooling mom after all!  So, today I finally chose a blog domain and now I am going to change my theme so that it will be compatible with WordAds.  Wish me luck!  I will let you all know when I am done.  Sorry for the inconvenience in the meantime.  Hopefully this doesn’t take me too terribly long!  🙂

Update!  (12:49 a.m.)

Phew!  I am finally done making changes!  Let me know what you think.  🙂
