A poem’s meaning

“A poem’s meaning is often lost among a slew of unimaginative eyes, for the true intent and heart of the poet is rarely discernible. And those who have the rare opportunity to discover the meaning of the poet’s incredulous words, are often deeply moved and sometimes even changed, by those delicately written sentiments, which often resonate and intermingle within the heart of the reader himself.” ~M

Brianna – “Mom, what’s the male version of a feminist? A menimist?

Me – “No dear… he’s simply called a man.”

*And yes, for all who would like to argue the point, there is such a thing as a masculist.  But do men really need a name for it?  Lol…  😉

November Writing Prompt Participants

I can hardly believe it’s December!  Where did November go?  Hmmm…. that could make a good poem.  Don’t you think?  Perhaps that’ll be what I write about today.  I never know where my ideas will come from, and I’m sure most of you don’t either.

It was incredible to see such a great response this month from all of you.  I made it my job to not attempt a single one of these prompts, and chose instead to work on some other projects that I needed to get finished.  Mainly my book!  Which is coming together quite nicely and will hopefully be ready to publish in the coming months.

Congratulations to Dorinda and Michael, you were the top two participants this month, having been the only ones to complete every prompt.  That is unless I missed a few links,  Tessa was certainly very close as well.  I had a bit of a hard time keeping track, as some of you weren’t linking the posts correctly.  So this month, if you’d like to participate, please have the link on your post go directly to the prompts page.  If it just goes to my main page, I won’t receive notice of it.  Michael and Grant, I’m speaking to both of you!  Lol… 😉

Really hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I’m looking forward to Christmas myself, and all the wonderful things that come along with that.  I get to see all of my girls here for Christmas this year and I couldn’t ask for a better present.  If you haven’t been to the December prompts page, here’s the link.  Hope you all have a really great month of writing!  ~M xo
