Some thoughts on friendship…

A new friend often wishes you well.

An old friend can only hope you are well.

A good friend asks you regularly if you are well.

A best friend makes sure you most certainly are well, and then socks you in the arm or starts a pillow fight if you aren’t.  😉

As a child, I never quite understand the purpose or point of imaginary friends.  Maybe it was the fact that I disliked the real friends I had so much, that there was no possible way I would have ever wanted to make more of them in imaginary form.  All of my children have had imaginary friends, so it sort of got me wondering why I never did.  Have any of you ever had an imaginary friend?

Words come straight from the heart…

books

There’s no better compliment for a writer, than when somebody reads their work.  I honestly don’t even mind if somebody doesn’t particularly like what I’ve written.  Just the fact that they’ve read it and have taken the time to tell me they have; that’s the best feeling in the world.  The words a writer writes, come straight from their heart.  So the reader is literally holding a piece of that person’s heart while reading such a person’s words.  It doesn’t get much more intimate than that.  ~M

I was having a conversation with my 15 yr. old daughter, about how everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses.  We came to the conclusion, that we must accept the simple fact, that we can’t possibly do everything.

My daughter had to add this…

Brianna – “Hey mom, even Jesus can’t do everything…”

Me – “What do you mean sweetie?”

Brianna – Well, he can’t sin!”

Me – “Oh, good point!”  Lol…
