Blessed because of these 3!

It’s been a a crazy hectic month here at the Cook house.  I am thankful for these three wonderful girls, who have made life a little bit easier through all the ups and downs.

Since all of their birthdays fall within a few weeks of each other, I wanted to wish them each, a very Happy Birthday! 🙂

I love you my sweet girls!  Life just wouldn’t be as wonderful without you, and I am forever grateful to God for blessing me with you!

Love,

Prom… this time of year?

IMG_4079I know I’ve been elusive lately, so I decided to share my day.  Here’s a snapshot of what I was doing this morning.  That’s right!  Taking pictures of my daughter Amy who was celebrating prom in her own way today.

Since we homeschool, our kids don’t have the same opportunities to go to dances and regular high school functions.  This didn’t stop my daughter from arranging her own mock prom though; and she had quite an exciting day.

When the two arrived home from shopping and dinner, they were surprised to find a huge fireworks show going on just behind our house.  I guess somebody knew it was their day!  She is all grown-up… I’m feeling a bit sad that she will be leaving for New York next month.

IMG_4092My second baby is leaving the nest and I will miss her more than she probably even knows.  Life is short… enjoy your children while you can, they grow up way too fast!

Too smart for her own good!

I was going through some old photos tonight and came across this one.  My daughter was 4 yrs old when she did this.  Kids… they can always make you smile.  🙂

An Amazing Artist!

Wanted to share my favorite pianist with all of you.  His name is Alpin Hong.  The first song listed below will take you back a few years.  The second one, shows Alpin’s heart for helping children appreciate music.  He has dedicated his life to making music fun for students.  He is absolutely brilliant and loves to put on a good show!  The last song is my favorite song, Claire de lune, by Claude Debussy.  I play a little bit and I have a 13 yr. old daughter who loves to compose her own piano music.  How many of you enjoy piano music or play piano?

Also, want to say thanks to my friend Raymond for giving me the idea to share these in the first place.  You can visit his blog here.
