Time for a spring break…

Good morning to you my blogging friends,

Hope you’re doing well and having a very blessed week.  I just wanted to give all of you a quick update.  I’ve been feeling a bit overwhelmed in recent days and have come to the conclusion that a much needed break is in order.  I’ve been feeling completely exhausted both mentally and physically, and writing doesn’t seem to be helping me at the moment.  In fact, it seems to be adding to my already taxed mind.

So with that said, I have decided to at least repost some of my older blog posts for the remainder of this month, and perhaps through the month of May as well.  Each one will be selected at random, so it’ll be fun to see what comes up when I hit the “read a random post” button, which is located in the category section at the top of my blog.  I may still do my Midnight Madness posts, if something comes to mind.

Hopefully, by next month, I will feel more like myself again.  I also want to apologize in advance, because I will be cutting back my blog reading time as well.  I try so hard to keep up with all of you, but I follow a few thousand blogs, and so it’s impossible to read everyone’s posts each day.  I’ll be thinking about all of you during my time away and I’ll try to reply to comments when I can.  Have a very Happy Easter and enjoy the spring weather.

Much love, ~M  xoxo

Time for a short intermission

Hey everyone,

It’s time for me to take a short break, as I will be out of town for a few days.  In the meantime, I have a few things scheduled to post.  However, I doubt I will have much extra time to read your blogs or answer comments.  Please forgive me, and I promise to be back just as soon as I can.  Hope you have an amazing week!  Much love,  ~M xoxo

Just a quick update on where I’ve been…

I want to apologize for not reading and commenting on as many blogs as I usually do.  I have been so busy over the last few months, because both of my girls are getting married this year.  As a matter of fact, one just got married last month in California, and the other gets married next month in Florida.  And yes, they just had to get married and move to states, which are completely opposite of where I live!  Lol…

So I’m currently down in Florida this week, helping my daughter get everything planned for her wedding day.  I don’t know how much help I’ve really been, but I’m here nonetheless.

Yesterday was mostly picking out wedding decorations, and today she went out shopping for wedding attire for the men.  Tomorrow is meeting with the photographer, snapping a few pre-engagement photos, then ordering the cake, flowers, etc…..

I’m currently at our resort, making garland and bows.  It’s so much better if I just make the things she wants to use as decorations, and a whole lot cheaper too!

Florida is so nice this time of year, compared to the cool fall days in Wisconsin.  We leave here on Friday to head back, but it’s been a nice break for me, and fun spending some time with my daughter.  Hope everyone is having a good week!  ~M

Good morning!

Good morning everyone….

Just wanted to give you all an update.  Some of you may already know this, but for those of you who don’t… I’m having a 4 hour medical procedure today starting at 11:45.  If you could please pray for a good outcome, I would sure appreciate it.  I believe prayer can change things and so I’m sincerely hoping it does.  I feel good about everything and I’m not too nervous.  Still, I’ll be glad when today is over….  Anyway, hope everyone else out there in blog land is doing well.  Love all of you so much!  ~M  ❤

Office Update

10

Now that I’m back from vacation, I figured I should give all of you an update on the progress of my office.  All I can say is… I’m glad it’s finally finished!

As some of you probably remember from last month, I decided to paint a tree on my office wall in hopes of having a more cheerful writing space.  The entire project only took about a month to complete and I only worked on it when I had a few hours to spare here and there.  The hardest part was waiting for the paint to dry in-between coats.  Each leaf took an average of four coats of paint.

I have never painted anything on a large scale like this before and found it to be quite tedious and very challenging at times.  My original outline of the tree had to be redrawn; as I wanted the branches to be able to stretch over to another wall, and my first attempt just didn’t bring it close enough.

Overall I’m happy with the outcome.  I think it will be hard to leave behind my tree when we eventually move.  I’m already thinking ahead of what I might paint in my next room.  Anyway, here’s the pictures… sorry about the quality, the camera on my phone takes horrible pictures.  At least it gives you an idea of how my writing room finally turned out.
