I’m not used to it, though my kids are grown and my wife and I separated 10 years ago. I had to learn to discipline myself to accomplish my own goals, because I was so used to being distracted by family things. It’s still hard not to get lazy, but I believe I have improved.

It can be really hard… All we can do is try. The only thing that distracts me these days, is mostly myself. I often lose myself in a daydream and then I can’t seem to regain my focus. Lol…

I used to take phone calls during my writing time, and never really get back to writing. I stopped that. I also stopped going to places where I found myself easily distracted. Trying to get more disciplined about writing at home as well; the coffee’s not $5 a cup, and I don’t burn any gas to get there. 🙂

So true… there’s no place like home. 😉

I know this feeling ~M, I’m home alone now, and I’m comfortable and relaxed in my seclusion….

I don’t know what being home alone is like yet, as I still have my daughters here. But every spring I get away for a few days by myself and I really enjoy it.
